John grew up in a small town in southern Illinois where everyone knows your name. His favorite memories growing up are Friday night football games at the high school, the annual Memorial Day Barbeque Picnic signifying the beginning of summer and the baseball season, hanging out with his friends at the local pizza joint and meeting his future wife in his senior year of high school.
He didn't travel far for a college education... just three hours north to attend the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana. It was there that John discovered his love of computer software and the languages they were written in.
After graduation, John moved to St Louis, Missouri, where both his sisters were attending the St. Louis University and still reside today. Living in the big city didn't last long as he moved west to settle in the town of Weldon Springs, Missouri. There he resides with his wife Delaina, his teenage son Kane, and his two daughters who are away for college at the University of Missouri in Columbia and Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
John brings over twenty-one years of telecom billing experience to Sequoyah Software and Consulting, Inc. He has developed and maintained software in all aspects of the telecommunications industry. Before SSCi, he has served StellarRAD Systems, McLeod USA, Consolidated Communications and RCN as a Vice President, Senior Analyst, Lead Developer and Business Analyst. He has also worked with manufacturing systems at Cooper Moog Automotive and with insurance management systems at Magellan Behavioral Health. His diverse experience in IT, provides SSCi a wealth of knowledge in application development and product support.
When John is not writing or maintaining code, he loves to watch and analyze baseball. The St. Cardinals are his favorites, but he watches the Cardinal affiliates in Memphis, Springfield and Johnson City as well. Much of his spare time these days are spent watching his son, Kane play soccer and run track. John is also an avid photographer and enjoys taking pictures of action sports.
